Acorn Midlands Education and Training Service was established with the aim to make education more accessible for people of all ages, background and ability. This service compliments the work of all projects and clubs within Youth Work Ireland Midlands by providing progression and follow on services for our target groups, their families and communities.

 

AMETS provides an alternative, non formal approach to learning and works off youth work methodologies. We create a safe, non judgmental space within all our courses and create personal learning goals for all engaged in the service.

 

We aim to provide a barrier free educational service where each each learner can avail of supported learning within their own community.

 

We are a provider of programmes leading to QQI awards from levels 1 through to 6. We also work with learners through non accredited, lifelong learning courses.
